Residents in Govan have been left outraged
Govan will be left without a bank next year after Bank of Scotland announced the closure of the area branch.
Following an in-depth review the banking giants announced the location, on Govan Road, will close on January 9. "With more customers choosing to use digital ways to bank and manage their money, visits at this branch have fallen. As a result, we've made the difficult decision to close it”.One resident wrote: "That bank is always mobbed only one I go to and personally don't trust online banking either now there will be no banks in govan just a hole in the wall."
Another angry resident wrote: "What are the older generation to do if they don’t have smartphones to bank with?"
