Manchester United have received a major boost in their plans for a new stadium after the British Government expressed its support for the project. Chancellor Rachel Reeves said she will champion the regeneration project, which includes new housing, commercial and public spaces around Old Trafford. Authorities are exploring setting up a mayoral development corporation to oversee the development.
