Ex-Northampton Town and Kettering Town boss Graham Carr says the 'gap is too big' for the Poppies to cause an FA Cup upset against the League One side.

Former boss Graham Carr believes Northampton Town will be "very heavy favourites" in their forthcoming FA Cup derby against Kettering Town.

The two sides will face each other in the first round of the competition at Sixfields on 2 November in a game to be televised live on BBC TV - their third meeting in FA Cup history. Northampton are currently 19th in League One under current boss Jon Brady, a former Kettering player, while The Poppies are top of Southern League Premier Central, the third tier of non-league football.

Following his coaching career, which also included spells at Blackpool, Maidstone United and Dagenham & Redbridge, Carr, the father of TV personality Alan, was a scout for Newcastle United for several years until 2017.
