The 2024 Grand National is here, with punters set to descend on Aintree for the festival ahead of the biggest race in Britain on Saturday
The 2024 Grand National is upon us, with betting enthusiasts preparing to head to Aintree for the festival ahead of Britain's biggest race on Saturday. This year's race will see some alterations, with 34 runners taking part in the four-mile, two-and-a-half furlong steeplechase, as opposed to the usual 40.
The traditional 30 fences remain for those aiming to make history, led by bookmakers' favourite Corach Rambler. The fortunate winner will pocket a staggering £561,300 from the prize pot, while the second-place horse will receive £211,100 and the third-place horse will earn £105,500. The three-day event will see Aintree brimming with punters, and a wide variety of drinks will be available to all those making the journey, ranging from draught beers to bottles, cans, spirits, Prosecco and more.
Prices vary from £2.75 for a soft drink to £7.50 for a pint of Madri, and there's an abundance of cocktails available, with multiple bars across the racecourse offering different prices depending on your drink of choice, reports the Mirror.Drinks prices at Grand National racecourse bars DraughtWine/ Sparkling
