Here's what to expect from the weather across Greater Manchester this weekend
Storm Bert is set to hit the UK over the weekend, bringing heavy rain, snow and hail to Greater Manchester.
As a result the The Met Office has issued a number of warnings for rain, snow, ice and wind and there could be disruption across the UK in the coming days.A rare amber warning has been issued for parts of Scotland. This warns of heavy snow followed by a rapid thaw and subsequent rain which may cause some disruption.
Met Office deputy chief meteorologist Dan Holley said: "Storm Bert marks a shift to much milder air and wintry hazards will gradually diminish through the weekend, but heavy snowfall is expected across parts of northern England and Scotland for a time on Saturday, especially over higher ground, and warnings are in place.
