The Every Cuppa Counts cake and coffee morning on April 20 at Plains Evangelical Church for Guide Dogs North Lanarkshire saw a total of £675 raisedA fundraising event for a North Lanarkshire charity that empowers individuals with visual impairments has raised close to £700.

Provost Kenneth Duffy lauded the organisation's efforts and thanked the community for their support during the event. "I’d like to thank Guide Dogs North Lanarkshire for organising this very successful fundraiser and in particular, the wonderful efforts of Francis and Sharon from the NL fundraising group, and to Plains Evangelical Church for hosting the event.He joined attendees and three guide dog puppies to raise awareness of the role played by volunteers in training guide dogs.
