Firefighters scrambled to Hamilton this morning after the derelict former Bairds department store went up in flames.
Crews were alerted to the incident on Duke Street at around 6.40am this morning . The fire was located within the disused building, however, the cause of the blaze is currently unknown. An eye-witness told Lanarkshire Live: "Four fire appliances have been outside Bairds since before 9am with officers fully fitted out with masks, assuming for the asbestos."
