Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has hit back at Liberal MP Karen Andrews for her claims the Labor government is to blame for the rising cost of living.

“We understand there are pressures on costs of living, we understand that – which is why the member for McPherson should have voted for the energy price relief,” Mr Albanese said during Question Time on Tuesday.

“She should have supported the fee-free Tafe plan, should have supported the cut to pharmaceutical cost and should be supporting the measures this government is doing in order to take pressure off the cost of living.”
