Amanda Holden shrieks with delight as co-host Jamie Theakston strips ‘naked’ live on air
A HEART Radio star has revealed he's taking a break from his show after sharing a secret health battle with fans.In a statement on social media, the 53-year-old revealed he had emergency surgery on his vocal cords.
He explained: "Sooo - a few of you listeners have noticed my voice hasn't sounded right these past few weeks - I've got you to thank…"Thanks for all the kind messages should be back on my feet soon - in the meantime..."Flooding him with support, one fan said: "Get better soon take as much time off as you need wishing you a very quick recovery you need a getaway.
"Aww, so pleased you managed to get it checked out and removed. Wishing you a speedy recovery and look forward to hearing your voice again soon," said a third.Most people will recognise Jamie as the Top of the Pops host between 1998-2003.Afterwards, he presented numerous shows for Radio 5 Live until he joined Radio 1 in 1999 to present the Sunday Lunch show.
