Coventry City missed out on a place in the FA Cup final after losing to Manchester United on penalties after a dramatic match at Wembley.
The Championship club were 3-0 down by the 58th minute in the semi-final but fought back and scored three goals - including a penalty in the fifth minute of injury time - to take United to extra time. Mark Robins' side thought they'd won it with a goal in injury time of extra time but it was ruled out for offside following a VAR review, sending the match to a penalty shoot-out which United won 4-2. Having narrowly escaped an upset, celebrations from Erik ten Hag's team were muted.
'We put ourselves in a difficult position because we had the game controlled and could have killed it but we didn't,' he said on ITV Sport. 'Credit to Coventry for what they have done but we need to do better.' United will now face rivals Manchester City in the FA Cup final on 25 May.
