Phillip Schofield has said he is 'heartbroken' by the death of his 'magnificent' mother, Pat. In an Instagram post, along side pictures of himself and his mum, the former This Morning presenter said: 'I love you mum, forever', after what he called a 'heartbreaking weekend'. He wrote: 'Over three days, we held her, loved her, hugged her and said everything that needed to be said.
One of the oldest ever ladies to wing walk.' Last month, Schofield starred in Channel 5 programme Cast Away, in which he spent 10 days alone on a small island off the coast of Madagascar. It was his first return to a TV series since leaving ITV in May 2023 after admitting to an 'unwise but not illegal' secret affair with a younger male colleague.
