Helldivers 2 CEO Johan Pilestedt casually dropped a hint at more ways to sneak past enemies and thin them down in the co-op shooter.
As Helldivers 2 players across the world engage in spreading managed democracy, few adopt stealth against bug infestations and robot factories. While the game does have smoke strikes and allows you to crawl while prone, it’s been difficult to thin out enemy numbers without going loud. But a post from Arrowhead Game Studios’ CEO offers a glimmer of hope for stealth fans.
On higher difficulties, it’s usually better to focus on the objective over taking down every robot and bug you can spot. This would be easier with silenced weapons, paving a path for gamers to tackle threats silently. In fact, the post that the Arrowhead CEO responded to was of a player sneaking about and tricking robots. Options like subsonic ammunition and suppressors could make weaker weapons like pistols more viable.
