Hibs couldn't have landed a much tougher tie and they're looking to do something no Scottish club has managed in 16 attempts.
As well as the obvious glaring financial differences between Lee Johnson's team and the Premier League giants, the last 17 years of history suggest "uphill battle" is an understatement. Hibs booked their showdown with Villa by fighting off Luzern over two legs, drawing 2-2 in Switzerland to seal a famous 5-3 aggregate win.
Since then, Celtic have failed to beat Manchester United twice, Arsenal twice and Manchester City twice, although they earned a draw against United and two draws against City in those games. Rangers have drawn and lost to Manchester United before being annihilated at Ibrox 7-1 by Liverpool and losing 2-0 at Anfield.
