David Mundee After losing their first three region games as a new Class 6A member, the Rehobeth Rebels captured their first football win in the classification on Thursday night at Montgomery’s Cramton Bowl, holding on for a 33-32 victory over Park Crossing.
Park Crossing went for a go-ahead two-point conversion, but Rehobeth defensive players Bear Mullins, Will Martin and Austyn Robinson stopped the Thunderbird running back short of the goal line to keep the Rebels in the lead. Rehobeth built a 14-0 halftime lead as Tevin James scored on a 1-yard run on Rehobeth’s opening drive and Patrick Banda and Elijah Holmes combined on a 65-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter.
