HMS Prince of Wales, a 65,000-tonne warship, arrived in Liverpool today, ahead of her opening for visitors next weekend. Initially scheduled for Monday, December 2, her arrival was moved up to Sunday, December 1, due to weather conditions. The ship, which accommodates 700 sailors and up to 1,600 with aircraft on board, is set to host various activities, including tours for the public. Tickets for these tours, which sold out in November, will allow 10,000 visitors to explore the ship.
The itinerary includes a visit to the cruise liner terminal, a ceremony to rename a ship's passageway after Penny Lane, STEM-themed events for school children, a presentation at Goodison Park, and a Freedom of Liverpool Parade
