We’ll see sunshine mixing with some clouds from time to time today. Most of the day is dry with only an isolated afternoon storm chance. Highs top out in the mid 80s. It will feel a little stickier late in the day too. A potent shortwave will push a cold front through tonight. This will bring a better chance for showers and thunderstorms after 8PM. Some storms in our western counties may contain strong gusty winds and small hail.
Monday there is a threat for severe weather as the Lower Susquehanna Valley will be located in the warm sector. The WGAL News 8 Storm Team has made Memorial Day an Impact Day. Damaging winds and large hail are the main threat. Heavy downpours and slow-moving storms could produce minor flooding. Expect periods of showers and thunderstorms throughout the day with the heaviest and strongest in the afternoon. The cold front finally crosses the area late Monday night.
