The island's mayor has called for a crack down
Tourists heading to the Spanish island of Mallorca have been warned they could face tougher rules and new fines. The island is the latest to try to clamp down on tourism, with locals angry at the annual influx of holidaymakers.
Jaime Martinez, the mayor of Palma, has called for tourists to be held to tough rules on behaviour, facing large fines if the rules are broken. The holiday island wants to crack down on fights and recessive drinking as well as vandalism and anti-social, loutish behaviour. "Playa de Palma says enough is enough," said Mayor Martinez.
