Senator Risa Hontiveros gained the support of a Bangsamoro organization and various cooperative groups in her reelection bid.
The Bangsamoro Supports Leni for Justice and Peace movement has named Hontiveros as one of the senatorial candidates the group is supporting in the 2022 elections for her being one of the “consistent champions for the peace process.”
In a covenant agreement, the Philippine Cooperative Center , the Coop NATCCO Party List , the National Cooperative Development Council , Liga ng mga Cooperative Development ng Pilipinas along with various federations and unions across the country also stated their continuing support for the candidacy of the lawmaker who is the current vice chairperson of the Senate Committee on Cooperatives.
In a separate statement, COOP NATCCO Party List highlighted the legislative work of Hontiveros, putting forward the cooperatives’ programs and advocacies.
