It's in a fantastic location
Residents have heaped praise on plans for a new Roxy Leisure venue in Nottingham. This would be the city's first under the Roxy Lanes brand, which allows under 18s until 5pm when supervised by an adult.
Taya Lee, 23, of Nottingham, who recently graduated, commented: “There are a couple of other bowling alleys in the area, so I am not sure how well it is going to do. But if it specialises in a few good drinks and it has a good vibe, I would definitely consider coming here."Robert Craig, 24, also a Nottingham graduate, said: “Since it is very close to the city centre, it has better accessibility than the other bowling alleys in the area.
Harshita Sharma, 22, an international fashion management student at Nottingham Trent University, said she would prefer this bowling alley over the others as it would be closer to her accommodation. "I think this would be the case for many as it is quite a central location,” she added. The licence, which would be for seven days a week until 1am, is for a 15,000 sq ft site in The Pod, a development on the corner of Bottle Lane and Fletcher Gate, which is also home to Tesco Express, the Ibis Hotel and catering equipment store Nisbets.
