Horror on the street where attempted murder investigation launched after man stabbed
Residents on a street where a young man was stabbed in Radcliffe have spoken of their horror at the incident. A man in his 20s was rushed to hospital after being found with stab wounds on Ulundi Street early on Sunday morning .
"I didn't hear anything apart from the sirens. I looked at my phone and it was 6am. The blue lights filled up my whole bedroom, and when I looked out I saw loads of police cars had parked down the back alley, then I heard a lot of shouting in the street but couldn't hear what they were saying. "I hope he is okay. It's just horrible to hear something like that can happen so close to home. I honestly can't believe it. I didn't see or hear anything so this is a massive shock."
Police and forensics officers remained stationed along the alleyway behind Ulundi Street throughout much of Sunday. Witnesses said they saw crime scene investigators using torches to inspect the backyard of one property. There was also another scene in place in Stoneclough, but police said there was 'no wider disruption' to the surrounding area and that investigations are ongoing.
