DAVID MUNDEE With one doubles match remaining, the Houston Academy boys tennis team was locked in to win the AHSAA Class 4A-5A state title late Tuesday afternoon at the Mobile Tennis Center.
The Raiders were 21 points ahead of second-place Jasper. Last year’s state champion, LAMP, was third among the 19 teams competing. Houston Academy had three singles state champions in Jason Mun , Wills McRae and Thomas Buntin with one state runner-up in Landon King .The doubles team of Mun and King won the No. 3 doubles title and the No. 2 tandem of McRae and Buntin finished as runner-up.People are also reading… Check back to dothaneagle.com for more details, including quotes from head coach Brian Hart and some of the athletes.
