HOUSTON — Community activists called on theto improve its training after they said one of its officers was involved in four different shootings.
Activist and attorney Randy Kallinen said Officer Devin Inocencio has been a part of four officer-involved shootings, the most recent happening in Montgomery County last month. Surveillance video from a nearby business in Montgomery County shows a suspected serial robber running with something in his hand and police chasing him. Several officers, including Officer Inocencio, later shot that robber.
According to HPD, the robber had a gun in his hand and did not comply with officers’ orders to drop the gun.HPD released body camera video“The suspect never points a weapon at any officer, and no one, or anybody for that matter,” said Kallinen. “And he's got his back to them. All these shots were in the back.”Lockett was shot and killed by officers outside of his home two years ago. Kallinen is an attorney for the family.
Officer Inocencio is on active duty and the shooting in March is being investigated.
