The first series of Location Location Location aired in the year 2000 and since then homes in Ashfield have fared the best
Ashfield in Nottinghamshire has had the biggest increase in average house price since the turn of the century. Based on figures from the date the pilot episode of reality property TV show Location, Location, Location aired on May 17, 2000, the Ashfield district ranks top of nine Nottinghamshire areas for percentage increase.
In third, the price of a house in Nottingham city currently sits on average at £196,350 - a rise of 321% from the start of the millennium at which time the average was £46,599. Bassetlaw is close behind percentage-wise, with a 320% rise from £48,153 to £202,351. But the price rose by 313% on average in the last 23 years, from £59,058 to £243,782. In sixth, seventh and eighth were Broxtowe, Gedling and Rushcliffe - the three areas with the most expensive houses on average today. Broxtowe's average is £253,525 - 307% more than the £62,263 someone could expect to pay in 2000.
You can expect to pay £349,714 there now, compared to £95,984 in 2000 - a rise of 264%. None of the Nottinghamshire districts' average rises, however, are in the UK's top 20.
