Many of the nation’s tollways operate in a handful of states. Unlike other states, Texas lags behind in toll discount programs.Biden signed the law Thursday after more than a year of work to get the bill through Congress.

It has the support of many elected officials and airline leaders. The law includes more than $105 billion in spending. It will require airlines to refund passengers with nonrefundable flights when their flight is canceled, experiences a significant delay or is changed.

It has the support of both Dallas-Fort Worth airlines’ pilots unions, the Southwest Airlines Pilots Association, which represents Southwest’s pilots, and the Allied Pilots Association, which represents American’s pilots.
