Homeowner Chris Pearson says his granddaughter's first birthday presents were among the items lost.
A family say they have lost more than two decades of memories, along with the presents from their little girl's first birthday, after fire tore through their home.
A spokesperson for Humberside Fire and Rescue Service said the blaze started accidentally and smoke alarms, which were installed in the property, failed to go off. Mr Pearson smelled smoke when he was walking down the terrace with daughter Kaitlin, 24, but did not realise it was coming from their home.
