A satellite image shows Tropical Storm Francine churning over the Gulf of Mexico, off the coast of Louisiana Hurricane Francine made landfall in the US as a Category 2 storm and has already been deemed the ‘worst storm we’ve had in a while’ in the region. Francine barreled ashore in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana, at 5pm CDT on Wednesday, according to the National Hurricane Center.
