Events are planned across the borough
Christmas is less than a month away and colourful lights are being turned on in joyful events everywhere. An East Lancashire council has now revealed their plans for Christmas lights switch-on events - and everyone's welcome.
The festivities kick off in Clayton-Le-Moors on the November 27, followed by the big Accrington event organised by Amazing Accrington on November 28 and then in Baxenden on November 29. The following week will see light switch-on events in Huncoat, Milnshaw, Church, Oswaldtwistle, Great Harwood, and Rishton, ending with a new event in Fern Gore on the December 9 and finally the Altham switch on on December 13.
Cllr Kimberley Whitehead, the authority’s culture, heritage, and arts boss, said: “We are thrilled to spread Christmas cheer across the whole of Hyndburn with our festive light switch-on events. This year, we are especially excited to introduce a new switch-on event in Fern Gore, bringing the magic of Christmas to even more of our community.
