It wasn't the same as I remember from previous years of sale shopping
It has been a good few years since I last braved the Boxing Day sales. I'm not going to lie, long queues and the idea of people pushing into me as they fight over the last pair of size five shoes sounds like my worst nightmare, hence why I've avoided the sales for so long. But after a relatively quiet Christmas , with no wild pub shenanigans, I thought 2024 was the year I'd suck it up and head into town to brave the sales and see if I could bag myself a bargain.
As in love as I was, I sadly left the shop empty handed - it's my own fault I'm too lazy to try things on in store - although I can't stop thinking about a certain pair of pink bow heels that I'm about to go online and buy. In all honesty, I have been left so surprised by how quiet the city's shops were this morning. I expected hell on earth, and in reality it was anything but. In fact, the only queue in sight was outside LUSH, which surprised me.
