On 1 November, One Life went into administration after its application for authorisation by the FCA was refused due to concerns over poor sales practices. Ms Daly, a retired English teacher, said: “As a single parent, I worked harder and for longer than I wanted to so I could save up. Once I paid for my funeral, I felt I could go into my retirement happy.
