The views were enough to take my breath away
Stumbling upon a new walking spot is always a delight, and this one is truly unique. Thor's Stone in Wirral is a hidden gem within 250 acres of scenic walking area, blending woodland and rock. The stone itself is massive but well-hidden from visitors - adding to its enchanting allure. I only discovered Thor's Stone a few months ago and wasn't quite sure what to anticipate when I first visited.
On sunny days, relish the cool shade of the woodland and the deep red sandstone underfoot; in cooler weather , savour the crisp breeze and expansive views. To me, it's astonishing to think that you're just a 25-minute drive away from the city centre, as Thor's Stone is utterly tranquil - almost eerie if you were to visit the area solo. Sadly, that's usually not the case, as this walking spot tends to be quite bustling.
