'I just felt so embarrassed. I felt sick'
A woman who shed four stone after a photo left her feeling “sick” and “like a complete failure” has revealed her weight loss secret.
“The picture completely shocked me,” Elizabeth told the Manchester Evening News. “I just felt so embarrassed. I felt sick and like a complete failure. I thought, ‘I’ve got to do something about this’. “Stepping onto the scales at 14st 10.5lbs was a shock,” she continued. “I felt ashamed and embarrassed. Listening to other members' stories made me realise I wasn't alone.
“I set my first target of losing three stone, and before I knew it, I achieved it,” she added. “To celebrate, I decided to buy a little black dress. I walked into a designer shop for the first time in my life and picked up a beautiful size 14 dress.“When I put it on, it felt perfect. I stood there, looking in the mirror, crying tears of joy. A few months later, I lost another stone, reaching my final target of four stone.
