A waitress told me that they couldn't handle more customers due to the amount of delivery orders coming in
As a big fan of TV shows such as Ramsay's Hotel Hell and Kitchen Nightmares I always look for any room for improvement when I eat out.
A cursory glance showed that the restaurant was barely half-full. I counted at least seven free tables so it seemed strange that customers were being turned away.I challenged a waitress who told me that they couldn't handle more customers due to the amount of collections and delivery orders coming in through the likes of Deliveroo. And although some might say "custom is custom" there's one glaring difference between delivery orders and in-house customers: profit.
Fortunately, when we visited Nando's, I had already promised my daughter that we could also visit the neighbouring arcade so we spent three quarters of an hour in there before heading back to the Nando's. Furthermore, when our food arrived, after around 15 minutes, my daughter's 'plain' chicken was suspiciously spicy. While the kitchen would have replaced it we simply couldn't wait as we had to get home.
