Beans on toast is a national dish, after all
There was a time, back in the day, where my mum would be at university, or working at Starbucks. And I would be at home on my own. I was 10 or 11, and I would sort out my own dinner. Often, I’d go to a friend’s house after school, post-football, but there was the odd occasion I’d be dropped back home to fend for myself. What would I have to eat? More than toast, that’s for sure.. My dad, in his pub, taught me to do that, when he could be bothered. But I wasn’t always at the pub.
