Aldi recently launched a non-alcoholic Chardonnay, and as a white wine fiend, I knew I had to try it. I usually wake up with a banging headache, so this was the perfect solution
I confess, I'm quite the white wine enthusiast, and come Friday, you'll often spot me savouring a glass of sauvignon blanc. Yet, the aftermath of a wine-induced hangover can be utterly brutal, leaving me with regrets the following morning.
It's clear, of course, that without alcohol, the characteristic 'buzz' of wine is absent, but the flavour profile remains robust, avoiding the common pitfall of blandness that afflicts many non-alcoholic alternatives. While my preference would have been for a sauvignon variety, Aldi seems to have nailed the essence of wine quite admirably.
