The Mersey Ferry experience is a must if you are visiting Liverpool

I experienced Liverpool from land and water and have a new-found appreciation for the place I call home.

However, and surprisingly, the activity offered much more than just a trip down memory lane as the boat - which could easily been plucked straight out of the children’s book, Elmer and the Rainbow - took us the perfect distance away to appreciate Liverpool’s stunning skyline. On the other side of the water, we were able to take in all the elegant Victorian architecture Birkenhead has to offer.

Having checked off one tour, it was on to the next - the City Explorer Liverpool open-top bus experience. The bus wasn’t due for another twenty minutes so it felt only right to order a quick pick-me-up coffee from The Fab4 café located on the Pier Head.
