An eagerly-awaited exhibition celebrating 100 years of Disney has opened to the public in London this weekend. Thousands of visitors are expected to flock to the capital to catch the magical new Disney 100 attraction which celebrates Disney's best loved characters, films and legacy.
It showcases stories and memorabilia from renowned classics like Snow White, right up to modern classics like Encanto and Frozen. There is other special exhibits linked to Star Wars, Marvel and Pixar characters. There are then ten themed galleries to walk through, and it's like a museum exhibition in that sense - you walk through and can read detailed cards about exhibits. There are also plenty of "selfie moments" with colourful stop offs for pictures.
I also saw lots of kids really loving the headphones dotted throughout the exhibition - playing everything from early snippets of animations to songs from all the favourite musicals in a "jukebox" style section in the Magic of Sound and Music Gallery. Is there food and drink? Food and drink is not allowed in the exhibition itself. But there is a small cafe area close to the dockside entrance before and after your visit.
There are different levels of tickets, the cheapest is general admission. You can also opt for Flexi Fast Track allowing any time entry and VIP , where you get a special laminate lanyard, Disney pin and soft drink. The Elizabeth Line only opened last year as the most recent extension to the London Underground, and is a bit of a treat in itself as it boasts super-modern stations and train carriages that are actually quite clean and pleasant.
