This January, Iceland Foods is offering some truly remarkable deals that help families save money on their grocery bills. With a 10 for £10 deal (discounted to £6 with a voucher), 5 for £5 deals, 6 for £3 offers, and a vast selection of items in the £1 or less section, it's a shopper's paradise.
The cost of food has skyrocketed recently, and January seems to be hitting everyone particularly hard. While supermarkets advertise deals, they often don't live up to the hype. However, one retailer has gone above and beyond this January with its 'largest ever deals event,' and I decided to put it to the test. I had heard about incredible offers, including a 10 for £10 deal on a variety of frozen family favorites from brands like Birds Eye and Chicago Town - brands my kids adore.
Knowing this would be a great opportunity to stock up, especially with the recent snow and the added bonus of free next-day delivery for orders over £40, I jumped at the chance. As a previous customer, I also received an email voucher that allowed me to purchase the £10 deal for just £6. With that deal, I secured 10 items, including two boxes of Birds Eye Chicken Dippers, a bag of Alphabites, a box of Crispy Battered Fish Fingers, two boxes of Young's Chip Shop Omega 3 Fish Fillets, a box of Chicago Town Subs Pizza, some Breaded Chicken Fingers, and two bags of Richmond Sausages. Frozen food isn't the only thing we eat, but it comes in handy for quick and easy meals when we've both been working all day. This haul will last us for weeks. But the deals didn't stop there. I also took advantage of a separate 5 for £5 deal, which significantly reduced the price of our usual favorites like Warburtons Toastie loaf, crumpets, potato cakes and pittas, as well as Heinz beans and Holland's Potato and Meat Pies. The best part? This deal could be used as many times as you like! This allowed me to order even more products, including orange juice, Soreen Malt Loaf, tortilla wraps, naan breads, Sheldon's Oven Bottom Muffins, angel cake, and more - all for just £1 each. A 6 for £3 offer brought the price of tinned tomatoes and peas down to 50p each, including the Batchelors brand, which typically costs anywhere from 60p to 75p elsewhere. Finally, I headed to the £1 or less section, where I snagged fruit and vegetables like a pineapple, bananas, broccoli, onions, and mushrooms for a pound each. I also picked up a 1kg bag of carrots and Blue Dragon stir fry sauces for even less. Admittedly, some of these items can be found slightly cheaper elsewhere - like carrots, which usually cost 69p a bag at most supermarkets compared to Iceland's 85p. However, the significant savings on other products more than compensate for this minor difference. Overall, my food bill came to £35, which is an incredible price considering the amount of groceries I purchased. To reach the £40 spend required for free delivery, I added some of their own laundry products that have been receiving rave reviews lately. For example, the Home Laundry Liquid Non-Bio detergent costs just £2 for a 50 wash bottle.Commenting on the launch of the January offers, Richard Walker, executive chairman of Iceland Foods, stated: “We know families are looking to reduce spending in all aspects of everyday life, and we know that we need to do our bit to help. “January will be a struggle for millions, it’s no secret that bills are going to rise and it’s going to hit some families extremely hard. That’s why we’re stepping up, expanding our £1 or less lines and introducing hundreds of deals.” Based on my shopping experience, I wholeheartedly agree. It's definitely worth checking out the deals at Iceland this month
