The Colorado senator said in a televised interview that he believes Democrats could lose the House, the Senate and the White House if Biden remains the party nominee.

Sen. Michael Bennet said July 9 on CNN that as things stand, former president Donald Trump could win in a “landslide” in November. In a blow to President Biden’s effort to revive his candidacy, Sen. Michael Bennet said Tuesday night in a televised interview that he believes Democrats could lose the House, the Senate and the White House if Biden remains the party’s nominee — calling the trajectory of the race “very worrisome” for the future of the country.

“For me this isn’t a question about polling; it’s not a question about politics. It’s a moral question about the future of our country,” Bennet continued. “It’s critically important for us to come to grips with what we face, if together, we put this country on the path of electing Donald Trump again.”Since his faltering June 27 debate performance, Biden has insisted that he has no intention of ending his candidacy and has argued that party elites are trying to force him from the race.
