THE Octa Research group has observed an increase in the coronavirus disease positivity rate in 11 provinces in Luzon, as well as in the National Capital Region over the past week, Octa fellow Dr. Guido David said on Monday, December 5, 2022.
The provinces of Albay, Benguet, Cagayan, Camarines Sur, Ilocos Sur, Isabela, Kalinga, La Union, Nueva Ecija and Tarlac were under high risk in terms of Covid-19 positivity rate. The Department of Health earlier announced the detection of Omicron BQ.1, a sublineage of the highly transmissible BA.5 subvariant, in the country.
