The Pittsburgh Steelers discovered that offensive tackle Troy Fautanu is dealing with an MCL sprain.

The injury could force Fautanu to miss some practice time, but it is unlikely that he will miss any time in the regular season following the injury., but it ended his night early against the Houston Texans. Broderick Jones and Dylan Cook took more snaps because Fautanu left early in the first half.
Fautanu had started taking most of the first-team right tackle reps at practice last week, and it is unclear how much he will practice this upcoming week, but it does not appear that he will miss that much time. Still, any missed time puts him at a disadvantage in the tackle situation and gives Dan Moore Jr. and Jones the lane to be named the starters.
Fautanu will hope to get back onto the field and suit up next Saturday against the Buffalo Bills in order to prove that he can bounce back from a rocky first preseason game.
