Facing criticism, Amanda defended her actions, asserting that her affair began only after her relationship with her husband had effectively ended. In media reports, Amanda suggested frequent fiery exchanges precipitated their breakup, even revealing that Clive somehow deemed her and Robert suited for each other.
She continued: "At that point, a few years ago now, Clive was also seeing someone else and was openly dating. It wasn't a secret, everyone roundabout knew - even the children.
