Blackpool's first ever cat cafe has now opened
The first ever cat café has opened in Blackpool offering a place to pet and play with our feline friends.
The concept of the café is unique to Blackpool as the seaside town has never had a cat café before. Visitors can book out an hour long slot to sit, have a brew and more importantly play with the cats running around the place.Inside, the layout of the café is less like a eatery and more of a large living room. The homely vibe is only amplified by the cats and their toys scattered in and around the seating areas.
"We've always had cats in our lives, even before we met each other I've always supported rescue charities and loved cats," Rick said. "Whenever I was meant to be getting a new pet, I would always rehome rather than just buy a new kitten. "Then it's down to everyone else to sort of pick up the pieces and it's not fair on the animals. That's why we wanted to have rescue cats here - we're a completely cage less operation so the cats are completely free to roam the café 24 hours a day.
