James Chase is a relative newcomer to Emmerdale, playing the role of Tom King – here OK! takes a look inside his sun-soaked holiday to Sicily, which he described as a 'dream' trip
And in tomorrow night's instalment, poor Tom is off on a vet's call when he's confronted by a thug who demands his car keys.
Attempting to stand his ground, Tom is hit on the head by a second thug and they kick him before stealing his car., leaving Belle disheartened after she had the courage to open up to him about her past, including her mental health struggles. Tom only returned to the village a few months ago, ten years after his exit and the actor who plays him, James Chase, is new to the role.and Jimmy King's nephew. He was originally played by Mark Flanagan, but the role was recast for Tom's return. In fact, two other actors have also played Tom, or Thomas, in Emmerdale's history.: “I was thankful to be filming in the village on my first day. It is such a beautiful location and that made the day special.
"But to me, I see Tom as [someone who has] turned over a new leaf now. I think he's put that behind him." James recently enjoyed a stunning holiday to Sicily, saying on Instagram:"Sicily is a dream.
