EXCLUSIVE: After getting engaged in December 2021, former Hollyoaks actress tied the knot to fiancé Tom Thornton-Brookes in a stunning Maldives ceremony - and planned it in 4 weeks
Weddings can take years of planning and organisation, but not for former Hollyoaks star Steph Waring who decided to plan her wedding in just four weeks.
The actress - who wrapped up her role on the soap earlier this month after 28 years - continued: “When we booked this holiday to the Maldives, Tom said, ‘Do you want to get married?’ and I just replied, ‘Yeah.’” She explained: “When choosing my dress, I wanted the classic wedding dress, but also something not too simple. I knew as soon as I saw this dress that it was The One. And then I had it fitted to my body by my friend Carrie from Rene K Couture."
And, when it came to their handwritten vows, it was clear the couple were very much in sync. “Our vows were very similar, weren’t they?” Steph asked her husband.Once they’d sealed their marriage with a kiss, Steph and Tom had their first dance on the sand to Donny Hathaway’s A Song For You – before turning up the tempo and boogieing to some classic retro hits.
