'I don’t think I’ve ever experienced anything as beautiful as where we are right now.'
Hollyoaks legend Stephanie Waring has married her Manchester entrepreneur fiance Tom Thornton-Brookes in a dream beach wedding. The loved-up couple chose to secretly tie the knot in a stunning Maldives ceremony on July 15.
"The way everything has transpired, it feels like it’s meant to be. Everything is perfect,” beams Tom, who works in private security. His new wife agrees, saying: “I just can’t stop smiling.” Steph says: "We’re very much in love as partners, but it’s a friendship thing as well, it’s lovely. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced anything as beautiful as where we are right now. The ceremony was just perfect."
"I knew I wanted something small and had always liked the idea of getting married abroad. When I found out I was leaving Hollyoaks I was desperate to book a holiday after I finished filming," says Steph. Steph and Tom made the decision to wed in secret, telling only Steph’s daughters, Mia, 18, and Lexi, 13. "I told them what we wanted to do and asked, ‘What do you think?’” says Steph. “And they were just, like, ‘Go for it.'"
