The former Hoops midfielder insists the current crop can become first-team names in Glasgow's east-end.
Scott Robertson knows well the challenge of smashing the glass ceiling which separates Celtic' s academy kids from the first team.
"Bosun is on loan at Fleetwood with me at the moment and he's showing just what a good player he is. He arrived at the end of the last transfer window and he's been quality but he's also been getting much needed first team minutes which is crucial for him at this stage of his career. "He really surprised me when he first began training with the first team, he has special quality and managed to get some minutes under Ange Postecoglou towards the end of last season. He's another who really impressed me as well as some of the other more established players. I don't know what his contract situation is and there has been speculation on social media about a move but he can forge a career at Celtic, I have no doubt about that.
He said: "When you are a youth team or reserve player at Celtic and you get asked to train with the first team it's more often than not about making up the numbers. It's also an opportunity to impress and I was fortunate that Neil Lennon and John Kennedy took a liking to me and I began to become more comfortable in these sessions.
