Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong has condemned Iran’s missile strikes on Israel as a “dangerous escalation,” urging all parties to exercise restraint. The Australian government has also advised its citizens in Lebanon to leave immediately.

Foreign Minister Penny Wong says Iran 's strikes on Israel are a "dangerous escalation" and the government "condemns them fully".

"The shelter was very full, I've been told as many as 26 people are in one room and four people sharing one mattress."Iran resumed flights at its airports on Thursday, state media said, after a brief suspension following its missile attack on Israel. Six people died overnight in a strike on the Bachoura suburb in central Beirut, with Israel claiming it conducted a "precise strike".With flights out of Beirut's airport costing thousands of dollars even if you can find one, it's become a very expensive and exhausting search for those trying to leave Lebanon as per the Australian government's advice.

"But within those broad areas of agreement lies enormous difference over the degree of support for how Israel is defending itself, and an intensifying blame game over who's endangering national security here in Australia", writes our national political leadsays Israel is calculating how it can respond to Iran's missile barrage to make a point, without provoking another attack from Iran.
