The Irvine Town Board has been set up to spend Government money on improving the town.
Campaigning Irvine community councillors are consulting the people about what projects they would like to see happening in the town through £20m investment from the UK Government. Irvine has been successful in securing a UK Government Award under the Long-Term Plan for Towns Programme.
"We have £2m to spend a year over 10 years. I went to a meeting of the Board and I must say it was a poor presentation with some things mixed up."Instead of that we are going to have ideas boxes which involves members of the public submitting a sticky note size piece of paper with an idea, something that works well which they would like to improve and they can put it in a box.
