The IDF says it has confirmed the death of Hashem Safieddine who many speculated may have assumed control of Hezbollah
Hashem Safieddine – presumed to be Hassan Nasrallah’s successor -has been killed according to the IDF Executive Council and the man many speculated would assume control of the organisation after the killing of Hassan Nasrallah in September, was killed in an airstrike, according to the Israeli Defense Force .
The strike, conducted on October 5, targeted a compound in the southern Beirut suburb of Dahiyeh on 5 October.
