EXCLUSIVE: Coronation Street's Billy Mayhew has been left heartbroken following the death of husband Paul Foreman
Coronation Street 's Daniel Brocklebank has dropped hints about a new love interest for his character, the much-loved Vicar Billy Mayhew. Billy Mayhew first graced the streets of Weatherfield in 2014 and quickly became a key fixture on the show, captivating audiences with a series of dramatic storylines from being embroiled in murder to battling drug addiction. Over the years, Billy has experienced turbulent romances, notably with Todd Grimshaw and his late husband Paul Foreman .
Speaking with Liverpool Echo among other media outlets, he revealed his hopes for Billy's direction in 2025, commenting: 'I'd really like some comedy that would be nice.' 'Billy and old women, that would work well! Maybe like a knitting club, book club or maybe a choir? ! But I think Billy and Sally Metcalfe would be an amusing couple. But yeah, a little bit of comedy next year would be nice.
